General FAQ

  • The Prima lobby typically opens one hour before the performance, with theater doors opening 20-30 minutes prior. Due to potential traffic congestion in Lancaster, it is recommended to arrive early to allow time for parking, restroom use, and purchasing concessions. Ushers will guide patrons to their seats and are available to answer any questions about Prima’s amenities.

  • Patrons are encouraged to wear what makes them comfortable, often ranging from business casual to cocktail attire. Please avoid strong fragrances for the comfort of others.

  • Snacks, soft drinks, water, wine, beer, and signature drinks are available for purchase at the card-only, cashless bar inside the theater.

  • Wheelchair and companion seating is available for purchase through the Prima box office, either online or by phone. Some seats in the theater require one or more steps to access. Please contact the Box Office at 717-327-5124 if there is a question about a particular seat. Prima is equipped with an accessible bathroom in the foyer between the lobby and the theater. Accessible parking is available in the free parking lot, as well as convenient street parking (as available) directly in front of the Prima entry on Wheatland Avenue.

  • 30 minutes prior to the start of each performance, any seat remaining unsold will be made available to current high school or college students with a valid school ID for $15.00. Seating is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Student Rush Tickets cannot be reserved in advance and must be purchased in person at the Prima Box Office.

  • Performances may feature minimal audience participation, bright lights, haze, and loud noises, with strobe effects being rare. By purchasing tickets or entering the venue, patrons acknowledge and accept all associated risks. Prima is not liable for any injury, illness, damage, or loss of property while at the venue.

  • Prima understands that plans change and strives to be flexible with ticket policies. While tickets may not be refunded, we do offer ticket exchanges for both subscribers and single ticket purchasers.

    • Tickets may only be exchanged within the same production, as availability allows, for a fee of $5.00 per order.

    • Ticket exchanges must occur at least 48 hours prior to a performance and cannot be exchanged after the performance has passed.

    • If you choose a more expensive seat, the price difference will be due. We are not able to refund when exchanging into a lower priced seating section.

    • Once you have exchanged your tickets, your original tickets will become invalid and are immediately available for sale to the general public. Your new tickets will be emailed to you or held at Will Call based on your preference.

    • If at the last minute you are unable to use your tickets, we recommend gifting them to friends, family or coworkers. Tickets can also be turned into a contribution to support Prima’s artistic programming initiatives. The value of the donated ticket is tax-deductible as the law allows.

    • Exchanges can be made by calling the box office at (717) 327-5124.

  • Subscribers may exchange tickets for another performance of the same production, subject to availability. There are no exchange fees for subscribers. Tickets cannot be exchanged on the day of the performance or after a performance has occurred.
