Galvanizing Director (Full-Time)

The Galvanizing Director at Prima Theatre is a key leader responsible for inspiring and securing financial support to fuel the organization's mission. This role focuses on building and maintaining donor relationships, managing contributed income, and fostering engagement to support Prima’s vibrant theatrical experiences.


Reports to: Chief Operating Officer, Founding Executive Producer

Location: Prima Theatre, Lancaster, PA

    • Donor Relations: Build and strengthen relationships with current and potential donors, ensuring effective communication and engagement.

    • Fundraising: Achieve an annual contributed income target of approximately $550,000, including grants, individual, corporate, and foundation giving.

    • Grant Management: Research, write, and oversee grant applications, collaborating with freelancers as needed.

    • Event Coordination: Plan and lead fundraising and donor cultivation events.

    • Community Engagement: Identify and participate in key community events to boost Prima’s visibility and support.

    • Team Leadership: Manage the Development Task Force and collaborate on revenue growth strategies with other staff members.

    • Oversee donor data management, handle VIP event logistics, and maintain precise donor records and communications.

    • Proven fundraising experience with a strong track record.

    • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently and in a team.

    • Emotionally intelligent and capable of managing multiple deadlines.

    • Passionate about Prima’s mission and the performing arts.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

    • At least three years of successful fundraising experience, preferably in the non-profit performing arts sector.

  • Standard office hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm), with additional hours for performances and events, often on weekends.


    - In-office presence required, with some potential for remote work.


    - Informal commitment of at least three years.


    - Valid driver’s license required.

    • Salaried position commensurate with experience
